Bachelor Degree Program

VKSSF currently offers Bachelor Degree Scholarships for Engineering and Medical streams. Students with Konkani language as their mother tongue, who have completed their Pre University course and are pursuing degree education in any branch of Engineering or Medical streams may apply for this Scholarship Programme.

Applications are open from June 10th to July 10th every year.

  • Entry Level

    Only students who are seeking admission to the First year of the respective courses may apply.

  • Minimum Marks

    70% in core subjects and Entrance Rank within 20,000. (For Lateral Entry the Entrance Rank should be within 3000)

  • Income Limit

    The Family Income of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 4.5 Lakhs per annum.

  • Commitment to earn 15 Credit points to be eligible for the Vishwa Konkani Scholarship for the consecutive years. VKSSF provides ample opportunities to earn these Credits by way of attending Skill Development Camps, Volunteering etc. (All these opportunities are aimed at your overall personality development and will benefit you immensely. You will be further informed how to earn these 15 Credits during the Scholars Orientation Programme).

  • Commitment to support the education of TWO students in the future on the same terms as you have availed this scholarships.

How to Apply Log In

Master Degree Program

VKSSF offers Scholarships for Master Degree courses in any discipline. The rate of scholarship varies from discipline to discipline. Students with Konkani language as their mother tongue, who have completed their Bachelor Degree course and pursuing Master Degree education in any course can apply for this Scholarship Programme.

Applications are open from June 10th to July 10th every year.

  • Entry Level

    Only students who are seeking admission to the First year of the respective courses may apply.

  • Minimum Marks

    Aggregate of 70% Marks or 7.75 CGPA

  • Income Limit

    The Family Income of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 4.5 Lakhs per annum.

VKSSF offers Scholarships for pursuing higher education outside India. Students with Konkani language as their mother tongue, who intend to secure admissions in any of the foreign University may apply for this scholarship.

Create a SCAP Account

Creating a Scholarship Common Application Platform (SCAP) Account is essential to avail Vishwa Konkani Scholarship. Its easy to create one. Just as easy as creating an email or facebook account.

Build your SCAP Profile

Once you create an account in the SCAP you need to build your profile there. There are 8 simple sections to fill out in your profile page. You only need to create this profile once. You can update the profile every year to be able to apply for the subsequent scholarships.

Search and Apply

Once you complete building your SCAP Profile, you will be able to search for available scholarships matching your requirements. You can view and apply these Scholarship Programmes.

1. Create a SCAP account

Creating a Scholarship Common Application Platform (SCAP) Account is essential to avail Vishwa Konkani Scholarship.

  • It's easy to create one

    Just as easy as creating an email or facebook account. All you have to do is fill out the sign up form and click on Sign up button.

2. Build your SCAP Profile

Once you have your login ID and password of your SCAP Account, you can login to your account and build your SCAP profile. There are 8 Sections in SCAP profile which you need to fill out. Here is a step-by-step guide to build your SCAP profile.

Section A: Personal Details
Feature

In this section, you need to give basic information about you. Your Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Mother Tongue, Religion, Caste, Caste Category, Diability and Aadhaar Number. Date of birth need to be filled out with the calendar which drops down when you click the field. You also need to upload a recent photograph of your face. Ensure you have made ready a proper photograph.

Section B: Contact Details
Feature

In this form you need to give your contact details. Ensure you have given correct contact details. This information will be crucial for us to reach to you.

Section C: Family
Feature

This section is to tell us about your family members. Once you fill the information about your Father click ADD button. Once you click the Add button the details about your father will be saved and another form will be opened to fill information about your mother. You need to repeat these steps to fillout the details about your immediate relatives (Parents, Brothers/Sisters and any dependents living with your family at home).

Section D: Entrance Exam
Feature

This section is to submit your Entrance Rank. You might have appeared for more than one Entrance Examination. This form allows you to create one entry for each Entrance Examination.

Section E: Current Course
Feature

Current course is the intended course to which you are seeking Scholarship. This form need to be filled out carefully because it is the primary information which will be used to match your scholarship search. There are four subsections in this form.

Basic: In this section you need to fill out the details of the immediate class of your intended course. For Example if your intended course is Bachelor of Engineering, you need to give details of the FIRST SEMESTER OF THE BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (B.E.). Please ensure you enter the Start and End dates of your Semester not the complete four year course. You may leave the Branch section unselected if you do not yet know the branch.

Entrance Exam: In this section all you need to do is select the Appropriate Entrance Examination through which you have been availing the admission to the course. This information is drawn from the Entrance Exam section from the main menu which you have already filled out.

Cost of Education: Cost of Education is necessary to understand your financial need. Please fill out all the information accurately. If you do not have the information of the fees etc. at the time of building your profile you may leave the fields blank. You will be further asked to fillout these fields at a later stage.

Source for Cost of Education: You need to mention here the source from which you are paying your expenses towards this course.

College Name and Address: The Name of the College you are seeking the admission for the intended the course. You may leave this section blank if you do not yet know the college name.

Section F: Previous Qualification
Feature

This section is about the courses you have already completed. This form is same as the Current Course except for the additional option to submit your marks card. You need to upload the marks card of your previous course. You should add all major previous courses you have completed one by one.

Section G: References
Feature

A good word about you from a known person will increase is essential for the Scholarship. VKSSF calls for the submission of TWO references, one each from a CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT and FAMILY DOCTOR. The contact details of these references is very important.

Section H: Documents
Feature

This section is to upload required documents as sought by VKSSF. You need to upload the Certificate to prove that your mother tongue is Konkani. Your High School principal can give you the Certificate on request.

Once you are ready with your updated profile, it's time to search for scholarship. Simply click on Search Scholarship button and the system will show you list of available scholarship programmes that match with your profile. View the programme details, accept the terms and conditions, click on Apply.
